Hi there.

I have always been drawn to stories and language. In therapy, I hope to help you conceptualize a narrative that helps you make sense of your story, starting in the here and now. In my practice, nothing is unspeakable, and while our work may at times feel heavy, I love finding opportunities for levity and even laughter. I really mean it when I say this- I love my work. Being in relationship with my clients brings me deep joy and satisfaction.

My background is in clinical social work, so I see individuals through a person-in-environment lens. That means your experience of personhood is deeply affected by the psychosocial surroundings of your life, and often our work together involves what’s happening for you in context of our world, in all it’s complexity.

Many clients come to see me because they just have a gut sense something isn’t right, and they need space to talk and think through their emotional world. Others experiencing loss, serious or chronic illness, or struggling with grief. I have specific experience and training in geriatric social work and a decade of experience helping individuals and their families navigate psychosocial challenges of grief, loss and serious illness. I can also help with conceptualizing end of life wishes and legacy work.

I graduated from Bard College in 2009 where I studied Languages and Literature. I received my MSW from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014 where I was an Ann Nolan Reese Penn Aging Concentration fellow, and I received the Virginia Robertson Non-Fiction Clinical Writing Award, writing essays like this and this.
